Overall Procedure

Step 1: Make sure your files meet our data requirements

To ensure that you maximize the potential of your data analysis with Anania, it's important to adhere to the following data requirements:

  • Analysis format: Make sure your data is in a format that allows for easy interpretation and analysis.

  • Column names: The first row of your data file should represent the column names.

    • Self-explanatory: It's crucial to have descriptive and self-explanatory column names. This helps Anania understand the data more accurately.

  • English: Your file must be in English as well as your questions.

Step 2: Create a project

Anania seamlessly integrates with various data sources, providing you with flexibility in managing your projects. Create a new project by connecting your CSV, database (DB), URL, or other available data source to Anania.

Connect your data by using the "New Chat" button and choose your data source format.

Step 3: Ask precise questions

You can leverage Anania’s powerful engine to analyze your data without the need for complex prompts as the engine already includes predefined prompts tailored to different types of data files. Create your project and type questions in plain English or start from sample questions.

  • Be specific and precise: when formulating your questions, focus on using precise terms that align with your particular case. Avoid using vague words like "best" or "worst." Instead, opt for descriptors that match your needs, such as "highest valuation".

  • Project specific questions: Anania can answer specific questions only related to a selected project source.

  • Visualize data with charts: Simply enable the "Chat" parameter from the right sidebar to generate a chart. Note that Anania decides when to generate charts, so even if the parameter is toggled on, you will not get charts with every answer.

  • Skip greetings: There's no need to include greetings or expressions of gratitude in your queries.

Question Examples

Here are a few examples of the types of questions you can ask Anania to explore and analyze your data:

  1. Calculate the average costs per country in 2022.

  2. Which shops have the highest profits? Show the top 5.

  3. Show all customers who are from London.

  4. Display all products with a stock number starting with 89.

  5. Provide me with the details of the top 3 deals that have the highest deal value.

  6. Calculate the variations in cost across continents and show the lowest costs.

  7. Feel free to experiment with different queries and explore the full potential of Anania.

Parameters

We have empowered our users with control over Anania's responses, enabling you to tailor the assistant's output to your desired format. Each project comes with a predefined parameter list, allowing you to customize the way Anania provides answers. You have the freedom to decide whether you want to see the generated SQL queries or charts based on your preferences and specific needs.

Parameters’ explanation:

  • Retrieval method: Affects Anania's ability to find relevant information from data sources; keep the default Sparse option if unsure about your choice.

  • Temperature: Controls answer randomness; smaller values lead to more predictable and repetitive responses, while larger values result in more creative and varied responses.

  • Follow-up questions: Determines whether Anania treats each question independently or considers them as potential follow-ups.

  • Crawl: Allows Anania to follow and gather information from other webpages under the same domain; if disabled, only the current page will be used to answer your questions. Note that this parameter should be turned on during project creation.

  • Show SQL: Displays or hides the generated SQL used to answer your questions.

  • Charts: Supplements the answer with a chart whenever applicable.

  • Internet browsing: Enables Anania to use Google search to supplement its answer with information from the web whenever necessary.
